Mesa Headshells

I just don't know if I got ripped or not but I bought a Mark IV on Sunday that is a rackmount and I turned and called Mesa yesterday and ordered a headshell for it that cost $249 without a fan and without the reverb tank. With those two items it is $347. Did I get ripped? Also, how much with the rackmount sell for?

Ehh...sorta. Depends if you like to buy used. Mesa is expensive for parts. On ebay you could have probably saved about $100.

If you're going to be playing out then the rackmount is the way to go. I'd not even bother with a Mesa headshell. I'd get a nice 8 space rack case and a G-major instead.

I thought about rackmounting it but I always loved the shortheads. I looked on Ebay but didn't see any on there then just said screw it and ordered the headshell through Mesa.

I canceled the order with Mesa and found a guy that wants to trade direct with me for the rack kit! The master plan is starting to fall in place.
