Mesa Dual Recto bias question

Hey!!! guys I have a question to ask you about the bias switch on a mesa dual recto.

Okay my amp is biased to use 6L6 Tubes but not to long ago I made a stupid mistake I turn the biased switch over to el34 mode with 6L6 tubes present in the amp at the time the amps power switch was also on when I turn the bias switched to el34 mode.

So I was just wondering by doing this did I happen to damage my amp in anyway it seems to working grand but Im just curious about the whole situation.

Lucky for you Mesa runs the Recto at like 40% dissipation so you didnt hurt anything.

With the EL34 switch on with 6L6s, you were probably closer to running the amp at where it should be.

If it is still playing, you're good to go. You'll know if you did something bad.

I have played my triple for months like that. it is perfectly alright if using tube rectifiers....diodes on el34 setting with 6l6's is gunna be short lived on the power tubes.
