At one time or another, I used to have Rockerverb 50 and DC-10 heads.
The lead channels are quite dissimilar, even though they're both quite mid-focused amps. The DC has an inherent grit that is both great for rhythm, and also difficult to dial out. The Orange, in my experience, had the opposite problem: a vintage-voiced lead that was always too polite/smooth/polished sounding for my tastes.
The cleans are comparable (if you're talking about the DC-5 B version; the A had more of a slight breakup 'rhythm' channel than a true Fendery clean). They've both got a lot of headroom in this department.
Unless you're a classic/indie rock type, I'd go for the DC--It's a more versatile amp.
