Today I asked Mesa Boogie for the pinout on the Mark V 35 Footswitch (5-pin Din jack) and they sent the whole footswitch schematic over immediately. What a great company 
I figured I'd add it here for future reference.
I just successfully built a 5-pin Din Male to 2x TS(Female) project box (velcro'd it inside the rear compartment of the amp), so now I can use my 2 button footswitch to control Channel and SOLO without using the large 4-button stock foot switch that comes with the Mark V 35. As shown in the first page, I used pin 2 for Channel +, pin 3 for Solo + (ps it engages SOLO on both channels) and Din Shield "SH" (sleeve). The reason I used 2x TS instead of a TRS 1/4", is because I also using this foot switch with my Mark V 90 Head (which has individual 1/4" TS for various channels and solo).
