Lovetoboogie - in yr pic there's a ?earth wire crossing yr B+ lower part of pic - looks nasty close to the B+.. or camera angle?

Good eye...but it's the angle. There is a good bit of clearance there as it crosses the B+ rail. That was original Boogie dress! ;0

Couple random thoughts..
The sby switch is at an odd angle - ? mounted rotated or mech is broken/breaking..
I'd secure +/- shield the thin red supply to SBY as it crosses the filters.. Loose mains leads are scary..

Guess what broke tonight? Standby switch, bloody hell! Any clue what type of switch?

I have a bunch of old and new pre amp tubes and will probably be ordering a couple of TAD 6L6 STR next week.

Bummer.. luckily they're plentiful..
The exact Carling part no is 110 - 63.
63 is the short bat - the next up is the 73 which is considerably longer. Avoid it..
I'm a fan of Sylvania 6L6's - they're a little hard to come by over this side of the pond though..
