Mesa Boogie 5:50 EXPRESS COMBO

Hi Everyone,
I have a MB EXPRESS 5:50 COMBO
I have it in for repairs at our local amp fixer guy HOWEVER he/we are having trouble fault finding.

Here is what it does:
You switch it on in the correct fashion but then after warm-up it starts with a crackle/pop sound/s. (the amp doesn't have a guitar plugged in either btw)[/color]

My tech guy said it may possibly be connections somewhere....
