mesa black shadow 90 vs celestion classic lead 80?

i posted this topic in bass section but maybe this is bettter:

does anyone know the diffenence between these two speakers. I've heard mention that the black shadow is like the classic lead, however the price difference bet. them seems high: $109 or $80 respectively.

I recently got a second mesa black shadow 90 off of ebay and it doesnt have the same amount of heavy bass emphasis that my first one has.. sounds a little thin in the high end, perhaps it was made in china? Does it need to be broken in? Impedance is same on both.
 
I emailed Celestion (Dr. Decibel) about this a year ago or so. Here is their response:

"The Mesa speaker is a special design for them and is not available as a
standard Celestion product. It is tonally similar to the Classic Lead 80
but there are design differences.

One difference is that the Mesa driver has a vented pole piece the Lead 80 does not. Other than that I can't tell you what other changes were made.
