25 watts each vs. 30 watts each for the STR-440s.
Woody sound, not as glassy as 440s.
Probably a bit less bottom. Earlier breakup.
At least that's my experience in a Mark III.

Be aware that the clamps used to secure tubes in (at least most) Mesa amps will not work properly with the base in the illustration.
Just moving the amp could cause the tubes to come out of the socket.
Something to consider.....

I have the Sovtek 5881 wxt now in my dual rec and I don't really like them anymore...I kinda got tired of it. They are 30 watts tubes and sound softer than Mesa 6L6. They lack punch and richness. I would say they are kinda boring and not a very good choice for this kind of amp...

I´m on the other side man...I have quad of groove tube relabeled sovteks in my dual recto and like them there a lot...you right they´re not as rich as most of 6l6´s but they are tightes tubes I´ve tried so far...They share some similarity of EL34 tubes which I had there just before...Also I have mesa 440 str,JJKT77,JJ6L6GC and svetlana winged C tubes but for tighter and clearer metal tones I just prefer these little *******s...
