MESA 2:90: Retube it or drop it?

I tried a VHT 2:50:2 and it didn't do much for me.

What do ya think?

Hey Doug! That's a first for the VHT that I've heard. What didn't you like about it? Also.. what did you notice as far as differences between the two?

Same here, I've heard nothing but praise for the 2:50:2. Please enlighten us

The VHT seemed to lack the low end I was used to with my 2:90, altho I did like it's midrange character...I'd go up to turn up the low end on my 3+...and no difference! Weird.

I currently use a Marshall head for a power amp, best of both worlds.
