I've had my Mark IV for awhile now and its a really great sounding amp but recently its been cutting in and out and than just cutting out completely. At first I thought this was a tube problem or something wrong with the head but when I switched the head to the G-flex 212 everything is totally fine so I know the problem is the Mesa 1x12. Is this something common that I could easily fix on my own or should I take the cabinet somewhere?

thanks,
zach

Mesa started using plastic Cliff jacks for speaker inputs and they blow. The plastic cap screwed onto a plastic base is eventually going to be a disaster. All you need to do is look at it wrong and it bends, pops the nut off and it just plain sucks. My opinion is to replace the input jack with a good old fashioned metal Switchcraft.
