Mesa 1x12 Thiele for bass?

Has anyone here successfully used the Mesa compact 1x12 Thiele for bass guitar? How do you think it would work as-is, or if the speaker were swapped for a model with more low end excursion?

Yes, I have used a Thiele cab, with the EV speaker, for bass, and it sounded great! It was tight and focused, and had decent low end. I only used it in a garage type setting, not for gigging though...

Excellent for the midrange component of a recorded bass sound. I would think a 15" version of the cabinet would be excellent for a practice amp though you could try using a speaker that would handle the lower frequencies.
