just won this beautiful piece of instrumentation. my parents agreed to pay half, and im so excited to get it. just needed to share my enthusiasm with all you guys. i've heard nothing but good things about carvin guitars. so i dunno, to give this thread a point, lets see some pics of your carvins.

Nice one. You should like it a lot. I changed out the electronics on mine a couple of times but wound up with a Seymour Duncan Custom Custom in the bridge and an Alnico II Pro in the neck. It came to me with a Kahler fixed bridge but I swapped it out for a Kahler Pro (PAF even). It's what I'd call a Closet Classic. It was owned by a keyboard player who literally kept it in its case for 15 years. Oh yeah, I also put metal pickup rings on it just for fun. I also changed the control configuraton so that one of the mini toggles splits both pickups and the lower one is a phase switch. I think it makes a lot more sense than having individual coil splitters since I never used just one split.
