Hi there, I recently bought a maxon od 808 to boost my triple rec. Could anyone who has used this combo share any tips on settings.

Thanks heaps in advance

The OD808 is my pedal of choice with the Rectos. Assuming we're talking about rock/metal, two suggested settings:

Setting #1 ("Maximum Crunch"):

Gain - Off
Output - Max

Setting #2 ("Tighter Signal"):

Gain - Off
Output - 12 Noon

Use Setting #1 if you want to bump up the saturation just a hair, focus the signal more, give you a more "modern" sounding pick attack to palm mutes, etc. Use Setting #2 if you want to keep your current sound/saturation pretty much "as is" and just want to tighten the signal some.

I didn't include the Tone settings because you should adjust them to taste. I'm usually between 10 to 12 o'clock on mine.

+1 follow this method for just about any 3 knob o.d. i use the tone to compensate for my strings, with new strings i set it around 3-4 mont or so later i`ll bump it up to 5-6.
