I recorded a cover of You Could Be Mine over the weekend. All the rhythm and leads guitars were recorded with a clean boost. I wasn't particularly happy with the tone. I thought squished and compressed the rhythm guitars. I re-recorded the clip this morning without a boost on any of the guitars. Which do you prefer?
The clip without a boost sounds more open. The rhythm breathes better. What do you guys think?
