I got on the list for pre-order and will be notified if any changes are made or what not.
Seems that the expected official announcement should happen first week of December, if all things progress without delay, expect product to reach dealers sometime late February each March. Oh well. There will be many Mesa related stuff between December 3 and when production begins to roll out amps. Doing two releases at around the same time will be interesting to watch how it goes. Cool. looking forward to a modern old school amp. The Mesa rep said to the group at Sweetwater that they made all efforts to make this reissue as much as the real deal as possible. Will be interesting to see what rolls out of Marketing on videos and other stuff. I am sure there will be a select few in the channels to have the opportunity to review some of the first amps as they did with the Badlander and the Mark VII. Going to get interesting in a few months.

My memo says 11/12, which I took as meaning November OR December, AFAIK, the Rectifier was the one that was due out Feb/March

Unless the sales engineer at Sweetwater was mistaken, he told me yesterday they had a meeting with the Mesa sales Rep yesterday. Release announcement will be in first week of December. He stated not to expect any amp until Feb/March time frame. We were talking about the IIC+ and I never mentioned the other amp. What ever the story is, when they get the amps in, I will be notified to make payment if I still want one. I was hoping he was going to say December at the earliest. When he stated what was discussed with Mesa, it was a bit of an emotional slump but did not change the desire to have one. If the dates change, he will let me know. Will see how it pans out.

No, I jumped on this not too long ago. November 12th. No deposit either. SW said when the amps come in is when they can accept any cash. They are just taking names like when you click on the link to be notified when something is out of stock once it comes in.

I was on the list in mid-October, should be good for mid-December delivery. I have a Mark VII, JP2C, Mark IV-B, Mark III green, and Crab amps Mark IIC++ clone, hopefully my take will be useful to some members

You have any pictures of the CRAB? Tried to look up Crab Amplification and got nothing but Crabs, Hermit or blue, and some recopies on how to cook them. There was one listing for Custom CRAB black and white, Soviet amp ?

🦀 This is as far as I could get.

Nice, I see they went for power efficiency with Toroid transformers. I could not find CRAB amplification on the internet. Reverb, I could only find pedals. Curious how it sounds compared to the Mark V90? That amp does look interesting.

Yep, toroids keep the weight way down too, it's a 50w tube amp that weighs maybe 20lbs. I compared it to my Mark VII yesterday, basically indistinguishable in tone. There is a very small, difference in feel due to it not being simul-class, feels like the JP2C, which makes total sense. If I'm being honest, the Crab sounds better than all my real boogies most days, and for $450, it's a steal! The guy is on Instagram.
