Mark V with EL34's or any different tubes VIDEO

Anyone have a soundclip or video of their mark v with other than stock tubes? I am considering trying some new tubes, maybe going EL34, I would love to hear an example before I go thru the trouble.

put some EL34s in there mang. Sounds bitchin. The V doesn't bias tubes cold. In fact EL34s run mildly hot.

Just do this man - just take two 34s and put them in your inner sockets and run it in 45w mode and tell me what you think. I was quite enamored.

You know, I'm on the fence, if someone showed up with 1900 cash and picked it up, it would go, otherwise it's still an awesome amp in the house, I still play it. Just wish I could get more of a diezel distortion al la Herbert channel 3 out of it....

I've got a pair of Mesa spec'd JJ E34Ls. Would they be safe to run in the inner sockets? It wouldn't be a long term setup most likely. Just curious what they would sound like really!

Unless you really need the money you might as well keep it and see if it grows on you.
