Mark V pickups?

I'm of the opinion that it's in the Mark V if you spend the time to find it. New pups can change a nuance but not a drastic shift.

Completely agree I am finding this out more more as I dial in new tones I played through an orange cab in an amp room at GC and it sounded closer to the sound I am looking for. So when I got home to play the MKV through my Mesa cab I turned down all the highs and now its not nearly as harsh but obviously now too much bass. I am learning you can't go off internet tones depending on the room or according to how I used to dial in my rectos the MarkV is the first Mark series I have ever owned and I switched to passives after I bought it so I am on quite the learning curve
