IMHO all those clips sound like complete sh!t. I could get better tones than that from a Spider III. So far, i'm completley unimpressed with this amp. I predict failure.
I don't think the amp is to blame, more the guy that made the clip. I have to admit, the c-tune clip sounds pretty bad-still working on it.
Sonically, this mix has the type of guitar I like to hear (most people don't like it, but I do):

And this is my own stuff with different gear that I thought was worlds more difficult to get a good sound out of but in the end it mixed well IMO anyway:

And I think, the V will be able to sit in a mix too but there will be post work, no question.
I was just trying to show that the V can put out some tight crisp riffin, how you dial it is your choice. I never thought guitar clips on their own were that great, in fact if you could solo guitars on a lot of great albums you'll find they don't hold much water, but in a mix they have their place. When I track, I eq so that the palm mutes are under control, or else they spike the mix especially with mulitple guitars. This makes them sound flat when soloed, but, for me anyway (just my opinion) they fit well in the mix.
So much fire in the belly, I like it! What a hot topic.
