Did you all check out the how to A/B the MKV with a IIC+ or a IV from pages 15 and 16?

If anyone has a IV or a IIC+ and a V to do this it should be interesting listening.

On a side note, youtube just shat itself on my computer. Keeps telling me to update flash... I update flash and it still doesn't work.

Only happened yesterday but is very annoying. Has anyone else ever had this happen?

Man I know, I felt embarrased asking how you get 5:30 on 1 knob. Maybe 5.5 would have been better, ehhhhhhhhhhhh!! :!: :!:

I have cleared that up for several people over the years. No one should feel bad about things they do not understand. There are plenty of things I do not understand. My IQ is over 160.

Thank you very much for posting that!

Always good to have it digitalized!

Am I reading this right?

(page 6)

Finally a BIAS SELECT switch is included that allows you to run EL34 power tubes in place of the stock compliment of 6L6’s. You can run EL34’s in just the outside pair or all 4 power tube spots.

Am I understanding this correct in that you could potentially run EL34s in the outside and 6L6s in the inside sockets (like the old Simulclass amps)?

I scanned through the rest of the manual and it didn't seem to touch the subject again.

I don't even know why I post in here or ask my rep. Nobody reads what I say

Yes, for the 11th time, you can run EL34s in the outer pair like other simul-class amps.

However the manual is wrong in a bunch of places (again, I posted a thread on this too).

Ok... so the inner pair is the pair that's on in 45w mode.

Question is... is one pair cathode bias (I assume this is what Mesa means by class A)? And if it is, which is it?

And which pair has it's bias controlled by the 6L6/EL34 switch?

...

All the sockets are controlled by the Bias switch. No tubes are cathode biased.

OMFG. Did you even read my posts I linked to?

I read the first one.

Lost interest on the second. Seemed like the intent was to list as many variations as possible, most of which I'm not interested in.

Ha, that's the list with the least overlap. If I wanted to list as many variations as possible then there would easily be 45 combinations or more.

There is tons of discussion here on the boogie board about how Simul-Class "class A" works. In the Mark V you can't switch down to "Class A" the same way you can with a Mark IV, for instance.

Phyrexia you said you worked at a mesa dealer? I ordered my heads on March 9 my GC guy said i still need 6 weeks. Do you think thats acurate?

Sorry if im taking advantage  just wanted to know youre opinion!

LOL thanks!!!
