Can anyone help,
Just purchased Mesa boogie Mark V combo, everything works fine except pedal board will not activate change of channels on amp.
Each channel works fine manually just not with pedal.
Not sure what else to look for, cable etc

1) Might sound silly, but are your dials on the back of the amp set to footswitchable selection?

2) If so, as a 'last resort aside from returning it to the store' measure it might be that the pin/tab on the bottom of the Footswitcher socket need very gently raising by a millimetre or so (by very gentle leverage with a pin or needle)...that was the case on my Combo, and it was the case with my Head too....I had no/intermittent as best switching ability..... Once done, the problem went away.

3) Does the problem persist if you swap the ends of the lead to the footswitcher?

4) Can you invoke even intermittent connection by moving the lead about?

So you have had the same problem by the sounds of it,

1) I've tried the dials, no luck
2) I'll try the the moving of the pin socket slightly, hoperfully that might work,
3) I've tried swapping the leads from one end to the other with no luck.
4) the 3 channels just don't do anything via pedal to amp.

I will welcome anymore ideas if you have any thats for sure.
Very much appreicated,
thanks

BoogNoob has covered all of the usual stuff for that sympton, at least, that I can remember. It really is usually a bad connection with the cord and the amp. However, I think I remember a few people actually getting the wrong cord. Hopefully they will chime in. I thought it was only a problem with some of the early shipments though.
