So I had channel switching on my Raodster using the 4 switching channels and the G-System from TC Electronics, THis worked great and I really enjoyed that feature. I suck with the pedal Flamenco dances to switch tones and channels, The Mark V is advertised as having no issues with channel switching via G-Force types of systems, so I am a little PO'd. My Mark V is channel switching with the G-System. I can move between the three channels OK, bit I do not get any of the other three switching options, like the Mute, EQ, and the Solo feature.

Has anybody done this with the Mute is annoying but no huge deal, I can just walk over to my rack and engage the tuner mute whe tuning out, and I don't use the EQ system on the fly, so that isn't a show stopper. The solo function I guess I could just just used the boost on my Fulltone Clean Boost, but I worry about it blowing speakers and changing my tone, drsamatically sometimes.

Anybody out there isung these features succefully on the amp? I used to have a GCX that I used and like a lot - maybe I'll go back to that. But its another $700 and my wife is a bit touchy about the outbound cash...

Let me know if you think you might have an answer. I have found lots of good advise on this board. Thanks Guys

Ok, first off, there are only four external switching jacks on the Mark V: Ch2, Ch3, Solo, EQ. The "Tuner Out" is an output for a signal to go to a tuner. You should be muting your input with the G-System.

You should have no problems using Solo and EQ switches if you are able to get Ch2 and Ch3 to switch. I imagine the loop must be engaged (not hard-bypassed) and the EQ probably needs to be set to footswitchable mode on the channel you're dealing with.

I imagine you're using something similar to a TRS adapter like this one:

to go from the back of the G-System to two mono cables, to go into your external switching jacks on the V, is this correct?

I have a couple of ideas. If you use the tuning feature on your G-System, this will automatically mute the signal, right? Then you can refer to the rack tuner while tuning quietly.

The next idea is to keep your Mark 5 footswitch plugged in. Then you can access the features on your amp that you cannot automate through your g-system including the tuner mute, reverb, etc. options.

Next option is to purchase an RJM Music amp gizmo and cable (probably about or a little more than $300 with Mark 5 cable).

I'd probably use the Mark 5 footswitch since you can use all your additional switches. The relay jacks merely override the selection on the footswitch.
