Can someone explain the triode pentode option for the 45 watt mode for channel 2 , not sure what the settings need to be in the back of the amp...

Thank you for that, can you simply explain what this does to the sound?

tube mode adds in the rectifier tube which adds some sag to the tone. diodes are tighter and punchier.

Sorry man I wasn't remotely trying to be a jerk...

Pentode and Triode on Ch 3 will give you different attack and "urgency"...Pentode equals more chugging kinda rhythm and attack...whereas Triode is better for liquid like leads and stuff...at least that;s what the manual says

Triode is similar to tube mode IMO. It's less punchy (or 'bold'), but IIC+ mode in Triode sounds incredible! Leads with some delay are liquid and soaring for sure. Good stuff.

Thx again, helpful members like you make this forum awesome.

8) That's what this forum is all about. Boogie players helping each other out and sharing information. If it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't know half the stuff I know about Mesas!

I totally didn't think you came off jerky, I was just being appreciative.

speaking for nermel.. he was apoligizing cause, well forums have no real emotions.. and sometimes you just can't tell the tone of a post.

plus as of the past few months there have been a bunch of fiesty posters that like to yell and not be nice.

(i think garfield also was yelling aat him earlier too! )
