I'm still torn and not sure whether to get the V:25 or the V:35 top.
While the solo boost feature on the 35 is nice, it's not a deal breaker for me to not have it on the 25.
I love the compact format, small size and light weight of the 25, but I am wondering if it will provide enough headroom.
That said, I have read that even the 25 get really loud.
Hooked up to a 2x12 or 4x12 cab, would the 35 give a lot more power and volume compared to the 25?
I'm planning on using the amp for a variety of styles, anything from traditional jazz (with an archtop jazzbox) to pop, blues, funk, rock even to metal played on 7 and 8 string guitars.
Any of you guys compared the 25 to the 35 with that regard?
I also posted a thread about this, but accidentally in the wrong forum (vintage amps) and I don't want to double post, hence I'm asking my question on this thread.
