Hey guys,
I've had my Mark IV for a while now, and I've always used it with the GEQ on. I was just reading another thread, and a lot of you guys said you dont keep the EQ on all the time. I've tried dialing it in quite a bit, but I just cant seem to get the same tight, aggressive tone without the EQ, and I also loose a fair bit of volume switching the EQ out. I've got it in the V pattern, but with 750 not scooped, just above the halfway cut (the first 1/4 line, just below unity gain)
Is it normal to lose a lot of volume switching the EQ out? Could it be a bad tube?
Thanks,
Phil
