Hey guys, Im new to this forum and am interested in getting a Mark IV.

Im just curious of one thing... Whats the difference between the short,

medium, and long heads? Do these things affect the amps tone at all?

There is no long head . The difference in short and medium being some of the rear panel controls are moved to the front panel making a bit longer . You need to be on vintage amp amp though .

right. however, eric, this doesn't affect the tone.
 
I have the short head. Out of curiosity, what extra controls would be on the front of the medium head?

The Graphic EQ (Auto R2 vs. EQ On) and Lead Voicing (Harmonics vs. Mid Gain) switches are between the Graphic EQ and the Output Level knob on the right side.
