Hi Guys,
I am new here and would like to get some feedback from some of you knowledgeable fellows. In my never ending search for the tone to end all tones I have ended up with quite a lot of gear, all of which I am happy to say I love. I am not any kind of connoisseur of these pieces, and I have some general questions.
I have a Mark IV A, could someone explain the difference between A and B, besides age? Is there a significant difference in sound?
Is anyone using a THD Hot Plate with a Road King or Mark IV, to get a recorded sound? If so how is it routed. Do you use the line out from the Hot Plate through an EFX unit, or use the EFX in the RK loop(s)?
I am thinking about trying a Triaxis. Can anyone recommend a good complimentary effects unit. I am currently using a Digitech GSP1101, which works very nicely using the Mark IV as a pre-amp.
I am also trying an AxeTrack as a method for recording, any one else trying this route?
Lastly, I am thinking about a Caparison TAT for my next guitar, (I have serious GAS, but I do enjoy it), as they are hard to find, would anyone care to provide me with some insight? It looks like I am going to have to buy one sight unseen. Has anyone ever dealt with "meestursparkle" on Ebay?
Sorry if this seems all over the place, any comments on board protocol would also be appreciated.
