Mark IV Retube turns my amp into a MONSTER!!!!!!!!!!!

I got my new JJ tubes in from Bob @ Eurotubes. Holy Mother of all Tone, I had no idea that my Mark IV could sound so freaking good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I opted for the High-Gain Preamp with 4 6V6's. Wow, now I can get some seriously sweet Blues, Rock, & even Metal tones at moderate to Club volumes.

I didn't even adjust the knobs from where I had left them while experimenting with the amp a few days ago. I just couldn't seem to dial in the tones that I was looking for. It seems that I had the right idea of where the knobs should be, but I had the wrong tubes.

I'm using a THD 2x12 cabinet with Mojotone 2 16 ohm 12BVM Greenback clones.

The first time I tried 6V6's in my MKIV I swore they should have come standard in the amp. Great sounds. The difference is your probably hearing the amp work more for the volumes you play at.

I just ordered some EH6v6's from Dougs Tubes to try. What kind of setting are you guys using with these tubes?

I dont have them in mine right now. Dont remember the settings. It changes your headroom quite a bit though.

I'm getting a matched quad of 6L6 - Blackplates
And a quintet of the 12ax7-M (Mullard specs).

I can't WAIT to hear what my Mark IV sounds like!!!!
