Mark IV Recording OUT Quiet??

Boogie fans,

I have just decided to try out the recording out option on my Mark IVa with headphones. I turned up the recoding OUT knob to full and pulled the master volume switch on the front panel. I noticed that I had to turn the master AND the channel volume up full to hear it and even then it was very quiet on the phones and only came out of one channel.

Is this normal or should the recording out signal be plenty loud enough for being loud in headphones?

the recording out is designed for a direct in to a mixer or recording thing. Try plugging into a mixer and then put your headphones into that. I do it all the time with my mark iv!
