Mark IV question

Hey guys, I'm a long time Triaxis user but lately I have been GASsing really bad for Mark IV.....I am sure this info is on the site somewhere so I apologize for not having time to research better but is there any difference in the long and short heads? thanks in advance....and does anyone have any other good advice to consider when looking for a Mark IV? Is it relatively safe to go the ebay route on them?

The short head fits nicely onto a thiele cabinet. The long head fits better on a 2x12 or 4x12 cabinet. That's about the only difference I can see between them. I've never compared them to see if the long head has any more controls on the face of the amp as opposed to on the back.

If you buy a used one be *SURE* to get the original sales reciept if the amp might still be within the 5 year warranty period. Insist on getting that reciept.

The medium head has a mains light on the front and the harmonics/mid gain switch is on the front too.

Hmm, I always wondered what the difference was between the two... so I take it only the short head can be converted over to a rack-mount?
