Hey I am a new owner of a Mark IV , having a lot of fun finding new sounds on it daily. My question is for other owners of Mark IVs. I would like to know how much noise/static I should expect on the lead channel.
I understand the variables as far as quality of my guitar pick ups etc. And I have no noise or feedback on the Channels 1 and 2.
Is it normal to have some noise, and static on lead channel, even at bedroom levels when the master is at 1.5, 2 ?

Want to know if this is something I should look into or if it's normal.

Thanks

No
mine is very quite at all volume levels,
May be time for a retube or your ground switch may need to be moved to another setting.

Noise depends on settings, especially lead drive and lead gain, both becomes noisy if you dial it above seven., but there should be enough gain/distotion at seven anyway.

I am wondering If i need to replace the preamp tubes considering the noise I am getting is really only on the lead channel.... ?

Well there is gonna be noise anytime you are pushing that much signal, but it's should be hum it should never be static.
If you have static, i'd say you have a problem.

YOu haven't really described the noise, to help identify what it might be. have you tried various settings- simulclass v. Class A, triode v. pentode, for example. Sometimes you can isolate a problem to a more specific source by changing the variables. I had a terrible noise in the lead channel but only in triode I was able to determine. I live in Petaluma, and swung by MB. It was a gride ISO resistor on the class A/B tube sockets that was affecting triode mode only in the lead channel.

So, you might try some of the switching options while on lead channel and see if something specific is causing the noise, in addition to the other suggestions posted so far.
Good luck,
Brent
