Mark-IV master volume spikes, normal?

I have a 1990 MK-IV, and there is a HUGE volume spike when I hit 1.5 on the master volume. From that point it's a steady increase in volume.

Do I need the pot replaced, or is this normal for the MK-IV? Thanks.

My IV doesn't have that spike that you mentioned.

I have a Mark IV B and the volume is very sensitive from 0 to 1.5. You barely have to turn it to go from bedroom to band volume.
