What can I do to make this right? I love the way the Mark IV sounds, but I prefer to have a guitar amp or cabinet on both sides of the drummer on stage when we play out. I've been told it is harmful to the amp and the speaker, if the ohmage is not matched properly...What can be done?

Two cabs with 8 ohms each?

Just plug each of them into the 4 ohms out. It should be fine for the amp.

Both outputs are lablled 4ohm because they're designed to have two 8ohm loads plugged into them. In parallel, the amp see's 4ohms in total. So if both your cabs are 8ohms, go right ahead and plug em in.

I understand that by running it from the amp>8 ohm cab >8 ohm cab, the amp would "see" it as 4 ohms...

But I only have one 8 ohm cab...Are you saying that in addition to the built in 12" speaker, adding an 8 ohm cab would be "electronically" correct?

I see you have a combo. You should treat the built-in speaker as its own cab with an 8 ohms impedance.

If you have another 8 ohms cab that you want to hook up, plug the built in speaker into the 4 ohms out, and plug the external cab into the other 4 ohms out.

If you wanna run just the external cab, then unplug the built in speaker from the 8 ohm out, and plug in the external cab there.

trem is exactly right, just move your internal spkr. connection over to one of the 4 ohm connections, and plug in your 4x12 into the other 4 ohm connection, and you are ready to rock.

all the best,
