(T)tip (R)ring (S)sleeve type jack. Basically it's a stereo type plug. Pretty common plug to find, just ask for it at your local music shop. The one to use on a G major would be a Y type cable. The end that plugs into the back of the G major is the TRS plug, while the other ends provide the Ring and Sleeve connections which allow the relay switching functions of the g major. The switching jacks on the back of the mark IV would use the TRS type cables, but again with the G major you would not be able to fully utilize all of the jacks as it only has the 2 relays in the G major, so you would have to comprimise and settle with not being able to use all of them but still have some control over it such as channel switching. however, if you set up the G major with patches, you could have a clean patch with say choruse and reverb, etc while using the other patches to switch to R2 or the lead channel with your effects, but you would not be able to switch on the EQ or loop with it. You could just set the switches on back of the amp though to automatically be assigned to the channels when they switch. does that make sense?
