Need some more input from you guys. I have a Mark IV combo that I'm testing out and so far, I'm liking it better than my Roadster for most applications. FWIW, I'm running it through a 1-12 3/4 back cab (without the combo's internal speaker).
Sound-wise, with the EL-34/6L6 combination, what can/should I expect on the three channels? Would there be any major differences other than a reduced overall output if we went with 4 6V6s instead of 4 6L6s?
Unfortunately, I don't have the disposable cash to do real live tube tests right now and certainly don't want to do anything to risk damaging the amp, since I most likely will return it to where I purchased it (I want a widebody Mark IV head).
Thanks again!
