Mark Iv & effects

I'm considering purchasing a Carl Martin DeLayla XL Delay Pedal :? . I have been told that the Mark IV has some issues with it's effects loop. I've been play straight into the amp since I bought it and only really need a little echo. I have a VOX Wah but haven't even used it.
I don't like cheap built equipment/effects :roll:

My effects loop is flawless. But I only use it for my compressor... so I'm no expert.
