Mark IV combo to head conversion

I have been wanting to get a mark IV head for a while now, but the prices are really high.

I have noticed that the combo's seem to be selling significantly cheaper.

First question, is there any difference in the electronics of the mark IV combo's compared to the Mark IV heads.

Also, since both the head and combo have the tubes hanging down, if I am able to get a head box, can I simply move the electronics from a mark IV combo into a Mark 4 head cab?

No, there is no difference in the amps at all.

Yes, the guts of a combo will fit in a headshell.
