Mark IV Combo in a Mark II head box

I'm looking to convert a Mark IV combo to a head. Will an older say Mark II/Mark III era head box fit a Mark IV?

Yes it will.

MKIV chassis will not fit into a MKIIa head shell so watch out here,they have different spacing for the mountings
Not sure though about the IIb if compatiable,but the MKIIC and + MKIII headshell will take the MK IV chassis

Thanks a lot. I bought the head box to use with a 50 caliber combo I'm also selling (Hopefully will be sold later this week) so if it will fit something that new no problems.

Can't afford to keep what I'm not using but I'm keeping my Studio Pre.

i have my mk IV in a maverick short head box fit's great.. i think you will find that in only won't fit if it's not sus-4 and a sus-4 box..
