New clips!!

I tried to capture the insane variety of sounds you can get out of this amp and once again this horrible cam mic does no justice to the tone in person. I cannot believe how much tight bass this thing puts out in my 2x12.. it's like a match made in heaven with my PRS. All clips were guitar into amp.

Here's a cool clean tone, I made this little riff up on the spot, it needs some work but I was just messing around and I thought it displayed the clean sustain and snap based on how hard you play. I fingerpicked this one.
For you Mark IV guys (R1 w/ EQ).

This one is the same setting but fingerpicked to show off the snap and bite it produces (cam neuters this one unfortunately :( )

This one is for Russ, this is the ebow in action on the clean channel. I tried to get a heavy gain one too but it's very unwieldy with the camera around, it buzzes like a madman and the vid came out crappy. So I picked this one instead, clean R1 tone from the first 3 videos.

This one is a madman. The bass this tone puts out in person has to be felt.. it's like a punch in the chest, it's so addicting to stay in this channel forever. This is a Lead Channel tone w/ EQ and what I've dubbed chainsaw tone.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the e-bow clip D. That was pretty cool.

I thought your last tone was pretty heavy considering it was on the lines of chainsaw. Maybe it was your riff or playing. Sounds great. Keep it up man.

ebow kicks ***! i'd like to hear some more :D also, i really like the fingerpicked clean..has a very nice bite .. :) the chainsaw is..well..a killer :D

Thanks guys :)

Glad you dig them as much as I do. I'll get some more ebow clips soon. It's pretty outrageous in the harmonic mode w/ some gain.

I keep meaning to get one of those. maybe I'll swing by GC and grab one today (an ebow)

More ebow stuff!

High gain ebow action.. perfect for.. well just listen :p

More high gain stuff, radiohead riff

This one is a riff I was noodling with this afternoon for a song i'm working on called seven a.m... sounds pretty heavy yet very clear and harmonically rich. This one is all lead channel.

And this is a really crap attempt to play a new john mayer tune. I was figuring it out off the song on my comp plus I was in a weird tuning at the time so it's not perfect but it's by ear. Shows off clean really well, esp because I fingerpicked, though, I'll redo this when I practice that riff more.

I hope these help push someone GAS'ing for a markIV over the edge.. this amp is just perfect.

That e-bow is insane. It makes me regret not having gotten one years ago. I had the opportunity to get a used one as part of a trade back in the early 90's. Hindsight is 20/20.

Your clips are pretty good. I can only imagine what you would sound like through a nice recording. Personally I have not heard John Mayer's stuff but if it is any consolation you sounded great. That clip does showcase the clean well.

I was just plugged in a little while ago and I had to recheck a speaker that I was selling locally. I had to completely redial my Mark IV cleans to test the speaker. You don't know how bright an EVM can sound until you play one that is not mounted in anything. That thing was crazy. Also the lows really count on having something there as far as cabinets go.

Ok some folks asked me for clips of R2 with an overdrive on it. I recorded 4 clips with my Fulltone OCD to showcase the wide variety of stuff you can get out of that pedal and your guitar. If you wipe out your tone and crank the volume you get a nice fuzz-esque warm tone but if you roll the tone back in it slices through the mix sweetly.

The first two clips are a plain R2 dialing with no GEQ on. Midway through you'll hear the pedal kick on (you'll know when, trust me :D )

This one is pure OCD, the cam robs so much from this (buying mic soon)

This is just noodling on a zeppelin riff (lemon song) proving that R2 is indeed a kickass channel with the right settings :)

hope that helps
