I have a Mark IV-A. I just replaced the stock FU-3 footswitch with a MIDI switcher -- Voodoo Lab Control Switcher. While playing around with the Mark IV's 1/4" dedicated channel switching jacks I noticed 2 interesting things that were prevented from happening when using the FU-3.
[1] All 3 channels can be turned off simultaneously.
[2] Multiple channels can be turned on simultaneously.
When all 3 channels were turned off, I noticed the volume level output increased significantly. When I accidentally enabled 2 channels at once, I immediately changed the Control Switcher's config, in fear of damaging something.
Does anyone know what the amp is actually doing in these 2 states? I just don't want to damage something by being careless.
Thanks,
Andy
