Hey guys

My Mark III head has a problem with the reverb. The effect is very quiet, and if it's turned up to 10 it distorts a bit (and even then you can barely hear the reverb). It's not a tube issue, so should I get a new spring unit? Or is it possible that there is a burnt resistor or other component that I haven't noticed? I tried to inspect it quickly last time I changed the tubes.

In my experience the reverb only works well when the amp is turned up to proper volume. Distorted reverb indicates a tube fail, as far as I read in the forum

Yeah I'll try both these. There should be a new tube in tho if I didn't accidentally swap in a used tube when I retubed the amp =)

A tube being "new" in no way means it is "good". They are like light bulbs any one can be bad or go bad at any time. It does not matter where you get it or who made it.
