Can you show me a link where I can hear some soundclips of a Mark III plaese? The more clips, the better!

Thank you!

The last clip on my sound click page:

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=551106

It was done with a really crappy mic and some crappy playing, so sorry!
Ah yes, and this is a red stripe head w/out simulclass.

I would be very grateful if you could post your settings, especially for the lead sound. I love that kind of tone.

My settings are:

Volume: 9
Treble: 9 (pulled)
Bass: 2
Mid: 2
Master: 1
Lead Drive: 7 (pulled)
Lead Master: 6
Presence: 0

The EQ are some deformed V shape. First two sliders are above teh mid line. The 750 is above the lower line.
The last sliders are positioned below and above the middle line respectively.

I record using two microphones and blend the results (e609 and SM57). I use a Mesa Boogie Traditional cab with V30 speakers.

Here's another one:

I like your thinking here. You wanted it super smooth, so you took out all the presence. You then cranked up the treble to retain definition, while making the volume high for more harmonics. You then used the EQ to bring back some of the chunkiness for palm muted stuff. I'm gonna try this as soon as I get home.
