Hi guys,

Just wanted to share my dilemma with the board. I currently own a 1st generation Mark III head. I running it through a JCM900 4x12. Guitar is a Custom Authentic 1968 Les Paul with Burstbuckers.

Yesterday I had the chance to play a Diezel Einstien and a Marshall 1974x. I loved the sounds of both amps. The Diezel can chunk away, but sounds a little too compressed. The 1974x sounds killer, but needs some help in the chunk department.

Given the price difference between the both, which one would you go with? I am thinking about selling the Mark III and going with one of these two, mostly because it will be easier to haul around the smaller amps.

Let me know what ya think guys.

In my experience, you're comparing apples to oranges to bananas.

Each amp does its own thing VERY well, and doesn't really cover the ground that the other two cover. (I haven't played an Einstein, but I've heard clips)

IMO, there's only one solution: Buy both, keep all three.
