I was told by the seller it was a blue stripe, but it looks more teal to me, which leads me to believe it's a green. I've uploaded a pic, which clearly shows the serial number. Don't really want to open it up to check, so I thought someone here would know. I haven't put it through its paces, yet, but I'm sure I'll love it either way - just curious.

Well, what say you?

Green stripe.

Blue stripes to begin with are a dark blue , and even faded look nowheres close to the 'teal' color.

Blue stripe penetration...

It may not be wise to assume Mesa used the same exact Magic Marker for the entire run of Blue Stripes.
(But it's probably Green.)

The only clear way to know for sure is to pull the chassis and check the pentode/triode mode of the outside sockets.

The green sharpie went teal over time, like mentioned. And with a late S/N like that, it's more than likely a green stripe. And that's cool...you got ALL of the goodies, upgrades and improvements ever intentioned for the MkIII. The best of the best of the best, sir!
