Hello all.

I have a Mark IIC+ without EQ.

Mike B. at Mesa strongly suggested the Presonus EQ3B 3 Band Parametric to run through the effects loop.

I bought one, and I am wondering if anyone might know how I might use this to somewhat simulate the "V" setting that a 5 band
would have to offer.

Here is the link for the item from the website: http://www.presonus.com/products/Detail.aspx?ProductId=19

Any info and suggestions would be great!!! I really appreciate everyones time!

Michael

i may be backwards on this but this is how i use my 5 band parametric eq

set the Db knob on your 4 band for the amount of signal passing thru
set the bandwidth ( Hz on your 3 band)as you would a slider on a 5 band eq up and down to adjust
set the frequency (Q on your 3 band) the same as the settings on the 5 band boogie eq (80,240,750,2200,6600)
being a 3 band you'll have to tweak it a bit more if youre looking for metallica type thrash then set your two outside to the 80 and 6600 respectively and your middle to 750 and drop the 750 completely down thatll help kill your mids
ive added a graphic eq to cut the mids out a bit more and give it a real dry sound

hope that helps

Joe
