mark IIC+, III, IV, studio, quad: New tubes?

Hey guys...So I've been meaning to get some new preamp tubes to test in my amps/preamps but now I TOTALLY gotta get some new ones because I just fired up my studio and quad pres and found the studio sounded much more aggressive and full. Obviously I was comparing it to the Quad's CH1, which is supposed to be the same preamp section (mark IIC).

So anyway, what tubes are you guys using in your C+, III, IV, Studio, Quad, etc...?

In the studio, I have a boogie, EH, one with no brand but red text, and one not labeled.

In the Quad, I tried out combos of mesa boogie, EH, and Ruby but I still couldn't get the same amount of aggression and bass response that the studio has.

I got GT12ax7's in my MKIV. I like em better than the stock mesa preamps tubes.

JJ high gain set from eurotube's..i have a really nice old RCA /brimar set that i use for special things... sweet sound..

I like the GTs better than the Mesas too. I have some old stuff too (RCA, GE, Mullard, Phillips)

I use GTs in my Mark IV and Triaxis as well. I have tried a few brands and so far the Groove Tubes seem to do the trick....
