Ok, my Dad always told me everyone is ignorant.....we're just ignorant about different stuff...
So I am going to expose my ignorance here.
I have a Markiic+ that I have had since the 80s, and I have no clue how to properly use the effects loop. I don't know what plugs into send and where return should go.
Ive always just plugged into the front and everything sounds great. Only issue is the delay pedal is much more present, to the point of being too much, as opposed to when I plug it into my Marshall, even though the pedal settings are identical.
Help is much appreciated.

Just think of "send" and "return" as "output" and "input", respectively. Just remember that inputs go to outputs (and vice versa). So connect the "Send" to the input of your first effect. Connect the output of your last effect to "return" to the amp.

An fx loop is a way to connect effects after the preamp and before the power section, so it "sends" the preamp signal to your effects, and "returns" the signal prior to going to the main/power section. That allows the preamp to receive an unaltered, "pure" signal straight from your guitar as opposed to a signal altered by the effect. It's generally most useful for modulation and time based effects.

THANK YOU KiwiJoe!!! Mystery solved and it sounds great. The delay level is now appropriate!
