Hi, does anyone know if these two mark series can fit in the same headshell? reason for asking is, I might be buying a mark IV but in no headshell/rackmount.

As long as it is a short chassis it will fit in the same cabinet.

I just thought of something... You might have other than a short chassis Mark already. If the measurement of both is the same they will fit in the same cabinet. This means if you have 2 short chassis amps then you can interchange the cabinets. I swapped my short chassis into a newer head cabinet then into a combo cabinet. My old cabinet was a Mark III cabinet I believe because it had no mounts for the FU-3. The FU-3 mounts would be the only thing I would even consider an issue. If you put a Mark IV in a cabinet without the mounts then you have to bag your footswitch. This might not be such a bad thing if you are already considering using an external switching device to control your Mark IV channels and what-not.
