Mark II: Ohms in 60W mode...

Should I connect internal speaker (which is 8 Ohm) to 4 Ohm output if I run my Mark IIB in 60W mode?
Will this hurt my amp?
Why should I do it?

I am asking because my amp is in 60W mode, two inside tubes are removed and speaker is connected to 8 Ohm output now. Somebody told me that if I pull two of my four output tubes I need to adjust the amp impedance. :roll:

Yes, that is correct. 8 ohm jack with 4 tubes and 8 ohm speaker. 4 ohm jack with 2 tubes and 8 ohm speaker. Hope this helps!
