Mark 4b with soapbar pickups

Hi, would a PRS se with p90 soapbar pickups be ok for metal with a mark 4b, i just love the way the guitar plays, but i did test with a fender deluxe,
nice cleans, but i still could not pichharmonic, strings were 9s tho, any help?

I don't think a soapbar is going to pull off metal as well as a humbucker can. My friend had a Dean Z equipped with two of them and he ended up selling it because he could never use it for what he played.

That puppy will get some smooth creamy tone through a Mark IV, but not metal :?

Thats my fear, dam it nice guitar as well, thanks guys, ibanze4life good luck with your mark 4 when it turns up dude, i av just come back froma weeks recording with my band, with a 3 song demo, with a mark 4 and 2 ch dual recto, its just being mastered so when its done ill post them up hear for you guys.

Bigger strings would help, but you're not gonna get metal on that puppy. I love those guitars though!
