I know some folks are still looking.

I think he is asking if the "+" designation meant that the amp had an EQ section. Since this amp doesn't have an EQ section it shouldn't be a "+".

I don't know anything about these amps, but I think that is what he is trying to say. It took me a while to figure that out though.

Actually... I think someone misread the title?

It says 'EV, No EQ' ... EV being an ElectroVoice speaker.

This thread got weird quick

He was under the assumption that a C+ always has EQ thus meaning the "+" status as opposed to the real meaning of the "+" mod that MB made.

LOL! sorry guys, Thunder Monkey wins. I was in a rush when I typed it. I did think it had to have an EQ to be a Plus (+) model.

I could be completely off about this, but I don't think a IIC+ needs and EQ. I believe I have seen them with and without the seperate EQ. I think that EQ, Simul class, and Reverb are all optional. I was under the impression that the "+" was due to a circuit board revision. I could be completely wrong about this, so take my advice with a grain of salt... I would check the Vintage Boogie section of this forum as well.

The "+" only means that the preamp is a IIC+, either upgraded from a IIC or stock. It doesn't imply that the amp has an EQ, Reverb or Simulclass.
